Allspice
Usually known as Pimienta Gorda, Allspice, also called Jamaica pepper, pepper, myrtle pepper, pimenta, pimento, Pimento Dioica. It is the Dry unripe berry of the pimiento tree (formally called pimiento officianalis).
- The name allspice is due to its flavor, which resembles a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
- It is used primarily as a spice in the food industry and, also used by the cosmetic industry.
